Cheese plates

I LOOOVE cheese.
One of my favorite things to have while entertaining guests, or when I am chit-chatting in a wine bar with a friend.
I am not that creative, so after looking online to see how the cheese plate is supposed to look like I figured it out. Personally, I like the rustic style in food photography or food decorating. I think the more simple it looks, the more appetizing it is. However, if you have decided to make a cheese plate, you should have some basic equipment: cheese board, knives, etc.to make it look cute (with a rustic theme :-)
Here are few of mine:

here in the back you can notice regular whole wheat as well as chocolate pancakes. I might write about them someday.

I really didn't have time to decorate this one, as my parents in law came sooner than expected. I had this idea of putting the tag on each item. Nice printed tag. But ended up quickly handwriting on pieces of  post-it notes.

Also, you can see the little white ramankin on the last picture. It was the first time that I have made a fig spread. Its so simple and delicious! I used dry figs, which I boiled a little bit (to make it softer).Mixed all figs in a food processor and voilĂ ! Nothing else, figs only! Goes perfectly with cheese and crackers. The leftovers can be kept and refrigerated.

P.S. I like the handwriting much better. It adds that personal touch.
